MINNIE MIZE

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Funeral for Minnie May Mize of Mounds will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms. The Rev. Jerry Herring will officiate, with burial in Spencer Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8:30 p.m. today, and Thursday until service time.

Mize, 86, died Monday, May 25, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was born June 28, 1911, in Pulaski, daughter of Clinton Christopher and Grace Lackey Richardson. She and Glen Mize were married June 9, 1927. He died April 25, 1989.

Mize was a member of Pulaski Christian Church, and attended the United Methodist Church in Mounds.

Survivors include two daughters, Martha Beck of Metropolis, Carol Taylor of Mounds; two sons, Harold Mize of Lakeland, Fla., Ralph Mize of Mounds; a sister, Lillie Bierbaum of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and four great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
