SIKESTON -- Minnie Lee, 82, of Sikeston died Friday, March 10, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Jan. 15, 1918, in Tupelo, Miss., daughter of Joe Abb and Ludie Mae Green Hankins. She had been a caregiver and nurse aid before retiring. She and Finis Lee were married, and he preceded her in death on March 11, 1979.
Survivors include one son, Charlie Lee of Davenport, Fla.; six daughters, Florine Ellis and Katie Pearce of Davenport, Martha Rose and Gaither Luber, both of Lake Wells, Fla., Linda Jordan of Sikeston and Carolyn Penson of Dexter; one sister, Annie Pruitt of Ponotac, Miss.; one half brother, Delbert Hankins of Brownsville, Tenn.; one half sister, Doris Hopper of Brownsville; 38 grandchildren; and 58 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons.
Friends may call today from 5-8 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday and the funeral home, with the Rev. Kelley Grubbs officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
