JACKSON - Minnie Evelyn Harris of the Monticello House in Jackson died Saturday, March 9, 1991. She was 89.
Harris, who died at the Monticello House, was born Oct. 21, 1901 in Summersville, the daughter of Thomas L. and Jenive Dunivin Love.
On June 16, 1922 she married Daniel E. Harris, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Summersville United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of Eastern Star for over 50 years and a long-time Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Shandy of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren, Daniel Shandy of Jackson, Miss., and Kenneth Shandy, of Cape Girardeau.
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Ray and Bola Love; and three sisters, Nora Campbell, Alta Love and Iva Cochran.
Friends may call at the Duncan Funeral Home in Summersville from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday. Ford and Sons Funeral Home of Cape Girardeau is in charge of local arrangements.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Summersville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Gene Hammond will officiate. Burial will be in Summersville City Cemetery.
