ADVANCE -- Funeral service for Minnie Buttrey of Advance will be held at 11 a.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park. Buttrey, 85, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 1996, at Bloomfield Nursing Home in Bloomfield. She was born Oct. 14, 1911, at Ardeola, daughter of John and Flora Kelso Smith. She and Charlie Buttrey were married at Benton. He died in August 1977...

Buttrey, 85, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 1996, at Bloomfield Nursing Home in Bloomfield.

She was born Oct. 14, 1911, at Ardeola, daughter of John and Flora Kelso Smith. She and Charlie Buttrey were married at Benton. He died in August 1977.

Survivors include four stepsons, Louie Buttrey of Bettendorf, Iowa, George Buttrey of Plattsville, Wis., Ray Buttrey of Desloge, Homer Buttrey of Advance; two stepdaughters, Irene Acord of Andover, Ill., Vickie Buttrey of Dexter; 27 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
