MILTON E. SCHMELIG

ALTENBURG -- Milton E. Schmelig, 83, of Altenburg, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1993, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.

He was born March 6, 1910, at St. Louis, son of Henry and Alvina Deuser Schmelig.

He married Altheda A. Littge, May 9, 1936.

Schmelig worked as an office manager for Newberry Radio and Television.

He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard M. Schmelig of Chesterfield, Mo.; a sister, Anita Mueller of San Francisco, Calif.; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. today, Oct. 3, 1993, and from 6:30-8 a.m. Monday at the Young and Sons East Perry Chapel.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg, with the Rev. Willard Kassullke officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
