JACKSON -- Milford L. "Pete" Acup, 53, of Jackson died Tuesday, March 26, 1996, at Heartland Care and Rehabilitation Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 14, 1943, in Alton, Ill., to Burford and Jewell Jones Acup.
He married Shirley S. Tucker on June 29, 1974, in Sikeston. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, David Acup, Jimmy Acup and Dewayne Acup all of Cape Girardeau; a stepson, Cecil Hardin of Cape Girardeau; three stepdaughters, Kathryn Coleman of St. Louis, Sallie McClendan of Sedalia, Ky., and Kellie Reeves of Sikeston; two brothers, Bill Acup of Cahokia, Ill., and Ronald Kemp of Cape Girardeau.; a sister, Olivia Burlison of Perkins; and six step grandchildren.
A step grandchild preceded him in death.
Acup worked for seven years as a mechanic for Plaza Tire and as a mechanic for Kmart for 13 years.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel, where funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Richard Krueger will officiate, and burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park cemetery.
