BETHALTO, Ill. -- Miles Raymond Baugher, 61, of Edwardsville, Ill., died Friday, June 28, at his home. He was born Aug. 29, 1929 to Albert and Molly Baugher. He married Betty Jean Kroeschel Oct. 4, 1957 in East Alton. She survives, along with two daughters, Myra Humphries of Staunton, and Jess Baugher of the home; three sons, Mike Baugher of Staunton, Eddie Baugher of Bethalto, Randy Baugher of the home; and Terry Tumbleson, stationed with the armed forces in Germany...

BETHALTO, Ill. -- Miles Raymond Baugher, 61, of Edwardsville, Ill., died Friday, June 28, at his home.

He was born Aug. 29, 1929 to Albert and Molly Baugher.

He married Betty Jean Kroeschel Oct. 4, 1957 in East Alton.

She survives, along with two daughters, Myra Humphries of Staunton, and Jess Baugher of the home; three sons, Mike Baugher of Staunton, Eddie Baugher of Bethalto, Randy Baugher of the home; and Terry Tumbleson, stationed with the armed forces in Germany.

Also surviving is one sister, Betty Lantz of Canton, Ohio; one brother, George Baugher of McClure. Twelve grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by a sister and 4 brothers.

Baugher was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked nearly 39 years for the Olin Corporation in East Alton, where he was a member of Machinist Union Local 600.

Funeral services will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at the Bethel General Baptist Church, with the Rev. Phil Warren officiating. Burial will be in the Staunton City Cemetery.
