MOUNDS, Ill. -- Miles Bonner, 83, of Mounds died Sunday, April 13, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born in Villa Ridge on Dec. 19, 1997, the son of Hollie and Tressie Miles Bonner.
He was an office manager for Swift & Co. for 23 years and the Bunge Corp. for 13 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cairo, Caledonia Masonic Lodge 47 in Pulaski and on the board of directors of the Cairo City Cemetery in Villa Ridge.
Survivors include his wife, Edith; his sister, Rose Mary Varner of Springfield; a grandson; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo. Masonic Rites will be conducted in the funeral chapel at 7:30.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cairo, with interment in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.
