EAST PRAIRIE -- Miles Andrew Wallace, 79, died Friday, Dec. 20, 1991 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston following an extended illness.
He was born Sept. 17, 1912 in the Barnes Ridge community to Ruben James and Lottie Hubbard Wallace. He lived near East Prairie all of his life. He was a retired farmer.
On May 19, 1933, he married Violet Rody Johnson, who survives.
Other survivors include: four sons, Milus, Anthony and Jack Wallace, all of East Prairie, and David Wallace of Sikeston; three daughters, Virginia Greenwood and Glendora Horton, both of East Prairie, and Geneva Hastings of Sikeston; one brother, Chester Wallace of East Prairie; 11 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in the Shelby Funeral Home Chapel in East Prairie with the Rev. Martin Lucas of the First Christian Church officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
