Mildred Tygett, 93, 3120 Independence, died Wednesday, April 10, 1996, at Chateau Health Care Center.
She was born Aug. 12, 1902, in Anna, Ill., daughter of Robert M. and Eva Crowell Norris. She and Dr. Glenn J. Tygett were married June 7, 1924, in St. Louis. He died June 12, 1977.
Tygett was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and past member of its Wimodausis Sunday School Class. She was a member of P.E.O., medical auxiliary, and Delta Delta Delta sorority. She was a graduate of Southern Illinois University.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Joseph Tygett of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with Dr. Neil Stein officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
