BENTON -- Funeral service for Mildred S. LeGrand of O'Fallon, Ill., was held Saturday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church there. The Rev. William Hitpas officiated, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery at Shiloh, Ill.

Wolfersberger Funeral Home at O'Fallon was in charge of arrangements.

LeGrand, 68, died Thursday, July 4, 1991, at Scott Air Force Base Medical center.

She was born Sept. 1, 1922, at Benton, daughter of William and Amelia Scherer Urhahn. She married Charles E. LeGrand.

LeGrand was a member of St. Nicholas Church and its Ladies Auxiliary, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, St. Nicholas and St. Clare Quilters Club, and American Legion Auxiliary at Benton.

Survivors include a son, Daniel LeGrand of Carmel, Ind.; five daughters, Charlene McCracken, Mildred Erb and Harriet Mosley of O'Fallon, Kathleen Rambeau of Carbondale, Ill., Lynda LeGrand of Redondo Beach, Calif.; a brother, Raymond Urhahn of Benton; two sisters, Bernita Martin of Benton, Vera Welter of Oran, and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
