MILDRED S. GREER

SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Mildred Sturgeon Greer of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Burl Britt will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to service time.

Greer, 73, died Tuesday, May 3, 1994, at Miner Nursing Center.

She was born June 28, 1920, in Sikeston, daughter of James and Emma McClellan. She married Ralph Sturgeon, who died in 1970. She later married Floyd C. Greer, who died Oct. 26, 1986.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Tidwell of Sikeston; six sons, Ronald, Denny and Donald Sturgeon of Sikeston, Phillip Sturgeon of Malden, Jerry Sturgeon of Marion, Ill., Ralph Sturgeon of Rhode Island; a brother, Ralph McClellan of Sikeston; 14 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six brothers and a sister.
