SIKESTON -- Mildred Ables Parker, 86, of Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston, died Saturday, March 6, 1999.

She was born June 19, 1912, in Bardwell, Ky., daughter of Lawrence W. and Etta Pearl Moore Ables.

She was a housewife and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Sikeston.

On Sept. 21, 1973, she married William Frank Parker. He survives in Sikeston.

She is also survived by a daughter, Jane Oldham Bess of Sikeston; a brother, Cline Ables of Sikeston; and two sisters, Norene Singleton and Alma Gail Henderson, both of Sikeston; and a granddaughter.

A son, daughter, brother and two sisters preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Tom Geers officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
