MILDRED MENZ

ORAN, Mo. -- Mildred Menz, 88, of Oran died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 3, 1912, in Hyman, Mo., daughter of Alvin R. and Virgie Nichols Dick.

She married Frank "Butch" Menz on Feb. 22, 1927. He died Nov. 12, 1992.

She was a retired sewing machine operator from International Hat Co. in Oran.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Oran.

Survivors include a son, Glen M. Menz of Delray Beach, Fla.; three daughters, Deloris Lee of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., Mary Emma Arnold of Mattawan, Mich., and Vera Cook of Oran; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter and two brothers.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Karen Taylor will officiate.

Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley, Mo.
