TAMMS, Ill. -- Mildred Caroline McDaniel, 89, of Tamms died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo, Ill.

She was born Oct. 21, 1913, at Cache, Ill., daughter of Benjamin and Dora Coleman McDaniel.

McDaniel was a lifelong resident of Alexander County, Ill.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers, a sister, and three half brothers.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in McCrite Cemetery west of Tamms.
