MILLERSVILLE -- Mildred Elizabeth Luetje, 82, of Kirkwood died Tuesday, June 8, 1999, at Bethesda Dilworth Memorial Home in Kirkwood.
She was born July 24, 1916, at Millersville, daughter of Grover C. and Dona C. Thaxton Fulbright. She and Glenn R. Luetje were married Nov. 15, 1937. He died Oct. 26, 1967.
Luetje was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson, and had been a member of Co-Workers Circle, Belle Bennett, and Wesleyan Service Guild. She served as chairperson of the first two circles, and as president of the guild.
She wrote an article titled "From all That Has Been to All That Will Be" for the UMW Centennial Book in 1985.
Survivors include a son, Donald Luetje of Kirkwood; four sisters, June Svboda and Betty Mehrle of Sun City West, Ariz., Mary Grant of Columbia, Jean Niswonger of Foley, Ala.; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at New McKendree Church. The Revs. Scott Lohse and O. David Griffin will officiate. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
