SIKESTON - Mildred Louise Pease, 74, of Route 1 Bell City and formerly of Sikeston, died at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at 4:02 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 29, 1990. She was born April 15, 1916, in Iuka, Ark., to the late Amos and Disa Foster Moody. On Oct. 23, 1934 in Maynard, Ark., she married Murray L. Pease, who preceded her in death on July 23, 1973...

SIKESTON - Mildred Louise Pease, 74, of Route 1 Bell City and formerly of Sikeston, died at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at 4:02 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 29, 1990.

She was born April 15, 1916, in Iuka, Ark., to the late Amos and Disa Foster Moody. On Oct. 23, 1934 in Maynard, Ark., she married Murray L. Pease, who preceded her in death on July 23, 1973.

She was a member of the Biggers Baptist Church in Biggers, Ark.

Survivors include four sons, LaVon Pease, of Maynard, Lester Pease, of Dexter, Carl Pease, of Cape Girardeau, and Julian "Jude" Pease, of Sikeston; a daughter, Anna Lou Freeman, of Bell City; a brother, Jewell Moody of Thomasville, Mo.; a sister, Beatrice Whiteaker, of Mountain Home, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

One brother preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Rev. Jim Matthews, pastor of the Morley Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Jarrett Cemetery in Maynard, Ark.
