Mildred Leona Atchison, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Nov. 24, 1995, at Fountainbleu Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 122, 1902, in Murphysboro, Ill., daughter of the late Burlington and Maude Simmons Charles.
She was married to Granvil Atchison on Feb. 22, 1923, in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1973.
She worked at the Florsheim shoe factory for 15 years and moved to Cape Girardeau in 1988 from Chesterfield.
She is survived by a sister, Alta White of West Virginia; a niece, Jackie Johnson of Cape Girardeau; and a cousin, Mildred Varnum of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters.
Private funeral services will be held Monday at Ford And Sons Funeral Home on Mt. Auburn Road. Entombment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Louis.
