MILDRED HAWTHORNE

PERRYVILLE -- Mildred M. Hawthorne, 84, of Perryville died Sunday, July 5, 1998, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis.

She was born July 11, 1913, at East St. Louis, Ill., daughter of John L. and Lizzie Smith Allison. She and D.E. "Blackie" Hawthorne were married Dec. 16, 1932.

She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Chester, Ill.

Survivors include her husband; a son, James J. Hawthorne of New Orleans, La.; a daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" J. Black of Perryville; a sister, Dale A. Allison of East Alton, Ill.; and a grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Friends may call at the Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Dan Patterson will officiate, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Chester.
