Mildred Fulford, 79, of Lincoln, Ill., died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at Christian Village in Lincoln.

She was born Oct. 6, 1921, in Marion, Ill., daughter of Henry Louis and Anna Singler Wohlwend. She and Earl Howard Fulford were married June 29, 1952, in Cape Girardeau.

Fulford was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She had been a teacher. She was a member of LeRoy Christian Church and Lincoln Chapter of Eastern Star. She was formerly of Chester, Ill.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Ruth Woodrum of LeRoy; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. today at Schroeder-McClure Funeral Chapel in Chester. The Rev. Mike Fogerson will officiate. Burial will be in Fulford Cemetery at Rockford, Ill.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of service.
