BENTON -- Mildred Dockins, 78, Benton Route 1, died Friday, Dec. 18, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 21, 1914, in Reynolds County, daughter of John William and Etta Mabel Pinkley Gibbons. She and Perry Lee Dockins were married Aug. 28, 1965.
Dockins was a checker at Kroger in Ironton 18 years, retiring in 1965. She moved to Benton in 1972 from Lilbourn. She was a member of Benton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Lyle Pogue of Fredericktown; two daughters, Edith Henry of Hutson, Ill., Carol Robinson of Barnhart; two stepsons, Perry Dockins III of Yuma, Ariz., Chuck Dockins of St. Louis; a brother, Paul Gibbons of St. Louis; two sisters, Lena Ojanguren of Florissant, Imogene Inman of Fredericktown; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren, and 12 great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. Robert Graham will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
