MILDRED DAY

MOREHOUSE -- Funeral for Mildred B. Day of Morehouse will be held at 11 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Morehouse. The Rev. Rick Krietemeyer will officiate. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.

Day, 66, died Saturday, June 5, 1999, at her home.

She was born March 9, 1933, in Dardanelle, Ark., daughter of Sherman and Laura Baker Barker.

Day had lived in Morehouse since 1950. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Morehouse, and the Eagles and American Legion Auxiliaries in Sikeston.

Survivors include two sons, Roger Barker of Waverly, Tenn., Don Matthews of Sikeston; a daughter, Betty Scott of Charleston; a brother, Carl Barker of New Madrid; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
