MILDRED AMELUNKE

JACKSON, Mo. -- Mildred Lucile Amelunke, 74, of Jackson died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 16, 1926, at Daisy, Mo., daughter of Peter and Lulu Bear Friese. She and Paul Amelunke were married Nov. 15, 1941. He died Oct. 13, 1986.

Amelunke had been a line worker at International Shoe Co. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Tilsit, Mo.

Survivors include a son, Ronnie Amelunke of Tilsit; a daughter, Shirley Meyr; her mother; a brother, Wib Friese; two half brothers, Leonard and Clemon Wille, all of Jackson; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, and after 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Immanuel Church in Tilsit.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Rev. Don Reder officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
