MILDRED A. COOK

BURFORDVILLE -- Mildred Abernathy Cook, 82, of Burfordville died Saturday, Oct. 14, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 14, 1913, in Mayfield, daughter of John and Welker Hanners. On Feb. 19, 1928, she married Arvel Cook, who preceded her in death in June 1973.

She was a member of Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church near Marble Hill.

Survivors include three sons, Raymond Cook and Gary Cook of Burfordville and Oda Cook of Millersville; a daughter, Verna Mae Hanners of Burfordville; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a brother, two sisters and a grandchild.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, where funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Steve Sander and the Rev. Jimmie Fulbright will officiate, and burial will be in Cook Cemetery near Scopus.
