SIKESTON -- Milburn P. Harris, 86, of Vanduser, died at 7:10 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 1994, at the Sells Rest Home in Matthews, Mo. He was born Aug. 30, 1907 in Lutherville, Ark., to the late Robert P. and Effie Pearson Harris. He was a retired landowner and farmer, and was a member of the Vanduser Baptist Church. SIKESTON -- Milburn P. Harris, 86, of Vanduser, died at 7:10 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 1994, at the Sells Rest Home in Matthews, Mo.

He was born Aug. 30, 1907 in Lutherville, Ark., to the late Robert P. and Effie Pearson Harris.

He was a retired landowner and farmer, and was a member of the Vanduser Baptist Church. He was a member of the Vanduser Board of Education for several years. He married Dessie V. Morrison Harris on May 2, 1931 in Lamar. She survives Milburn P. Harris.

Other survivors include two daughters, Linda Harris of Portageville, and Janice Cox of Dexter; two brothers, Don Harris of Morehouse, and Ragon Harris of Chaffee; two sisters, Earla Harris of Matthews, and Addie Cowger of Sikeston. One grandson survives.

Friends may call Monday, May 9, at the Nunnellee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel with Rev. Marvin Graham, pastor of the Vanduser Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Morely, Mo.
