SIKESTON, Mo. -- Mickeal L. Quillman Sr., 60, died at his home in Sikeston on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012.
He was born March 6, 1952, in Chester, Ill., to Ruby Pearl (Farris) Quillman, who survives of Pinkneyville, Ill., and the late Marion Lavern Quillman.
He married Trienna June Coke on Nov. 27, 1970, in Sparta, Ill., and she survives of the home.
Quillman formerly lived in Benton, Mo., Kennett, Mo., and Jonesboro, Ark. He pastored churches there, as well as Emmanuel Baptist Church in Sikeston. He was also the owner of Quill and Son Construction.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Mickeal L. Quillman Jr. and Jonathan Quillman; three daughters, Michelle Cole, Jessica Mercer and Patricia Griswell; one brother, Robert Quillman; and 14 grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Loyalty Missionary Baptist Church in Sparta. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church with Jerry Adams and Tommy Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Swanwick Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard Funeral Chapel.
