She was born May 10, 1964, in Perry County.

Parnell was a retail clerk, and attended St. Mary's of the Barrens Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, John Parnell; a daughter, CaseyLynn Parnell of Mulkeytown, Ill.; a son, Christopher Parnell of Mulkeytown; father and stepmother, Samuel and Cherryl Taylor of Perryville; two sisters, Dawn Rubel and Amanda Torres of Perryville.

The funeral will be private.

Young and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
