ADVANCE, Mo. -- Michelle Launius, 48, of Advance passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 201, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.
She was born Dec. 22, 1970, in Fort Wayne, Texas, the daughter of Michael and Joyce Winslett Launius.
Michelle had worked as a certified nursing assistant in hospitals and in private home care.
She loved flowers, crafts and gardening. She enjoyed painting rocks and was a part of the "Rocking Advance" and "SEMO Rocks" groups.
Survivors include her father, Michael Launius of Warrenton, Missouri; three sons, Ryan Johnson of Advance, Austin Launius of Camp Pendleton, California, and Matthew Ritchie of Dexter, Missouri; a brother, Donnie Overby of Zalma, Missouri; and eight sisters, Tammy Gragam of Illinois, Cindy Whitter of Florida, Jessica Davis of Gypsy, Missouri, Kim DeLaney of Troy, Missouri, Sharon Baden of Winfield, Missouri, Dawn Wilson of O'Fallon, Missouri, Michelle Kruse of Warrenton and Nicole Whitener of St. Peters, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Ronnie Overby.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel.
