Michael G. Triplett, 48, of Park Hills, Mo., formerly of East Prairie, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, in St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis. Michael G. Triplett, 48, of Park Hills, Mo., formerly of East Prairie, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, in St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Aug. 6, 1959, in East Prairie, to William Dallas and Patsy Ruth Guinn Triplett of East Prairie. On Feb. 14, 1983, he married Gloria Vanette Bays. She survives of the home.

Triplett lived in East Prairie most of his life, moving to Park Hills three years ago, where he was employed by the Mineral Area College District Police and was a part-time deputy for the Washington County Sheriff's Department. He attended Elm Street Baptist Church in Charleston, Mo.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Survivors include his mother and wife; a daughter, Mollie Triplett of the home; two sons, Mark Davis of Sikeston, Mo., and Colby Davis of East Prairie; a sister, Tonya Pullen of East Prairie; two brothers, Stanley Triplett of East Prairie and Jeff Triplett of Diehlstadt, Mo.; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Shelby Chapel, with the Rev. Jon Archie officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery.

Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Missouri Funeral Honors Program.
