EAST PRAIRIE -- Graveside service for Michael Stephens of Florissant will be held at 1 p.m. today at Dogwood Cemetery, with Larry Smith officiating.

Shelby Funeral Home at East Prairie is in charge of arrangements.

Stephens, 54, died Wednesday, July 1, 1998, at the home of a sister, following an extended illness.

He was born March 20, 1944, in East Prairie, son of Dike and Nadine Lancaster Stephens. He was employed at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis. Stephens served in the U.S. Navy from 1962-66.

Survivors include a sister, Sue Beaird of Maryland Heights.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
