BLOOMSDALE, Mo. -- Michael Charles Schildt, 67, of Bloomsdale died Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at his home.
He was born Oct. 15, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York, to Charles and Ruth Sapporita Schildt. He married Marilyn Kay Mayabb on Jan. 29, 1971, in Valley Stream, New York.
He was a mechanic for Coad Chevrolet and electrician for Cotner Electric.
He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, two Overseas Service Bars, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, Vietnam Service Medal with three Campaign Stars, Combat Medical Badge and Sharpshooter Badge (M16).
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marilyn; three daughters, Missy Reed of Bloomsdale, Angie Cutter of Jackson and Rebecca Lee of Wilmington, North Carolina; a sister, Barbara Luis of Orange City, Florida; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mike loved and followed his Lord Jesus Christ with all of his heart.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with full military honors.
