Michael David Perry, 69, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 8, 2019.
He was born Sept. 20, 1949, in Cape Girardeau to Jessie and Kirllian Perry. He and Isabell Maglone were married June 29, 1988, and enjoyed 25 happy years together, until she passed March 25, 2013.
Michael was a member of Victory Outreach Church and was a retired carpenter.
He was a simple man of strong faith who enjoyed reading his Bible, woodworking, gardening and writing poetry. He was a lover of nature and animals, loved his family and friends without measure and adored time spent with them.
Survivors include his daughter, Angela Perry Alcorn, and son, Michael L. Perry; two stepsons, Robert and Michael Maglone; two stepdaughters, Rosie Sides and Veronica Hall; sister, Dorothy Allen; brother, James Richard Perry; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of Cape Girardeau,.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Isabell Perry; his parents; two sisters, Linda Renn and Shirley Knight; and grandson, Jeffrey Morrison Jr.
A memorial celebration of life will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Cherry Hill section of Capaha Park, 1400 Broadway in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Gina Rae Thomas officiating.
