MARBLE HILL, Mo. — Michael Anthony Nenninger, 47, of Marble Hill died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, at his home.

Born on Nov. 25, 1969, in Cape Girardeau, he was the son of John David Nenninger and Donna Eaker Nenninger. He married Monica Hamric in 2000. She survives.

He was a graduate of Woodland High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University. In 1997, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served five years. He had worked as a corrections officer for the state of South Carolina and the state of Missouri before becoming disabled.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Austin Nenninger (fiancée, Meghan Westrich) of Florida and Dakota Nenninger of Marble Hill; a daughter, Lauren (Kaitlyn) Bryant of Japan; two stepsons, Michael A. Allen and Gabriel D. Allen, both of Indiana; his father, John D. Nenninger of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; a brother, Adam (Kristen) Nenninger of Leopold, Missouri; a sister, Becky (Matt) Moseler of Kansas; a granddaughter, Guin Nenninger; and other very special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Nenninger; his stepmother, Carolyn Nenninger; and his grandparents, Gladys and Elmer Nenninger and Wilma and Ernest Eaker.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with military honors. Vincent Schreckenberg will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date in Baker Cemetery.
