CAIRO, Ill. -- Michael A. Moss, 58, of Columbia, Mo., died Wednesday, May 26, 1999, at the home of a sister.
He was born July 21, 1940, in Cairo, son of Francis Roberts Moss.
Moss retired as an insurance claims adjuster with Laborers Local 773 in Cairo.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, member and past president of Cairo Historical Association, former member of Cairo Jaycees and Cairo Knights of Columbus Council 1027.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Bradshaw of Columbia; two brothers, Joe Moss of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., and Melvin "Kim" Moss of Sikeston, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo after 5 p.m. Friday. The rosary will be recited at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Church, with the Rev. Jerome Fortenberry officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at Villa Ridge.
