PERRYVILLE -- Michael L. Sleyster, 31, of Perryville died Saturday, June 26, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 20, 1961, at Mexico, the son of Francis Sleyster, who preceded him in death, and Joan Davis Moonier.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, James Moonier, both of Perryville; maternal grandmother, Nelma Davis of Mexico; two sons, Michael Sleyster II and Gerald Sleyster, both of Perryville; a daughter, Reanna Sleyster of Kentucky; three brothers, Alan Sleyster of Perryville, Dale Sleyster of Sedgewickville and Stephen Moonier of Perryville; a sister, Elaine Moll of Perryville; a half-brother, Talman Sleyster, and a half-sister, Shelly Sleyster.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville and the Perrville Knights of Columbus. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. Funeral mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, and burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Perryville. A parish wake service will be at 7 p.m. today.
