Michael Curtis Heaton, 17, of Jackson died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 8, 1986, son of Paul and Stephanie Linkenhoker Heaton.

He was a sophomore at Jackson High School. He and his family moved to Jackson in 1998 from Groton, Conn.

Survivors include his parents of Jackson; a brother, Timothy Heaton of Jackson; maternal grandmother, Sandra Linkenhoker of Newton, S.C.; and paternal grandparents, Herbert and Enid Heaton of Columbia Crossroads, Pa.

Friends may call from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Raymond McAfee officiating.
