VAN BUREN, Ark. -- Michael D. "Mike" Frisbie, 57, died unexpectedly Monday, April 29, 2019, in Dyer, Tennessee, in a temporary residence provided by his employer near a construction project where he was assigned. Mike was a heavy-equipment operator for his primary employer, Luhr Bros. Inc. of Columbia, Illinois, who contracts with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers doing repairs and construction projects up and down the Mississippi River...

VAN BUREN, Ark. -- Michael D. "Mike" Frisbie, 57, died unexpectedly Monday, April 29, 2019, in Dyer, Tennessee, in a temporary residence provided by his employer near a construction project where he was assigned.

Mike was a heavy-equipment operator for his primary employer, Luhr Bros. Inc. of Columbia, Illinois, who contracts with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers doing repairs and construction projects up and down the Mississippi River.

Mike was a 1981 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School, attended Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau and attended a heavy equipment operator school in Southern Illinois.

Mike is survived by his wife, Stacy Ann Roth of LaPort, Texas (married April 11, 2015); son with wife Allicia E. Brown of East Cape, Illinois, Shane D. Frisbie of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a daughter and two sons with his wife Myra J. Todd of Scott City, Megan M. Frisbie, Seth M. Frisbie and Shawn S. Frisbie, all of Van Buren; sisters, Amy Jo Frisbie Ramey of Van Buren and Stephanie Frisbie Crook of Martinsburg, Arkansas; and father, Fred R. Frisbie of Madison, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara L. Stivitz Frisbie.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Methodist Church in Alma, Arkansas, which is adjacent to his primary residence of Van Buren. A luncheon will be provided by the Ladies Auxiliary of the church.
