WHITTENBURG -- Michael Franklin Summers, 64, of Fairmont, W.V., died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 1992 at Fairmont General Hospital. WHITTENBURG -- Michael Franklin Summers, 64, of Fairmont, W.V., died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 1992 at Fairmont General Hospital.

He was born in Whittenburg on March 10, 1927, son of John William and Verne Crabtree Summers.

He attended Southeast Missouri State University and graduated from the University of Missouri. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fairmont.

Survivors are his wife, Betty Summers of Fairmont; two sons, John Summers of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Steven Summers of Salina, Kan.; one daughter, Dr. Laurie Summers Elevins of Clear Lake, Iowa; one sister, Kelley Taylor of Beaumont, Texas; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild.

Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the R.C. Jones Funeral Home in Fairmont.
