Michael C. Crabtree, 57, of Scott City died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital North in St. Louis.
He was born Dec. 28, 1949, at Cape Girardeau, son of Gilbert John and Ruby Viola Sanders Crabtree. He married Darla K. Miles July 7, 2003, at Benton, Mo.
Michael graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor of science in business administration in 1971. He worked in candy sales more than 30 years.
He retired from M&M Mars in 1999. The past eight years he had been employed at Hershey Foods Co. He was a member of Broadway Methodist Church 53 years.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Scott Crabtree of Jackson; two daughters, Tabatha Crabtree of Dexter, Mo., Stephanie Crabtree of Cape Girardeau; a stepson, Caleb Miles, a stepdaughter, Libby Miles, both of Scott City; and a granddaughter, Sophia Crabtree of Jackson.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Larry Dunger and the Rev. Gene Rauls officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
