Michael William Allmon, 66, of Jackson passed away peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, at his home, with his family by his side.
He was born Dec. 15, 1952, in Cape Girardeau, son of James and Lorene McCormick Allmon.
Mike was a 1971 graduate of Jackson High School. He then served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War on the destroyer USS Glennon and was awarded the National Defense, Vietnam Service and Combat Action medals. He was honorably discharged in 1977.
Mike was owner and operator of Allmon Plumbing for more than 25 years.
Loving survivors include a son, James (Jewell) Allmon; daughter, Lori Chubboy; and a sister, Judy Allmon (Rodney) Smith, all of Jackson. Also surviving are grandchildren, Serenity Allmon and Gavin Monahan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Tristen Michael Allmon.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crown Hospice or American Cancer Society.
