Meta Schneider

ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- Meta Louise Schneider, 96, of St. Charles died Thursday, March 8, 2012, in St. Charles.

She was born Sept. 20, 1915, daughter of Gustav H. and Helena Meinershagen. She and Ralph H. Schneider were married April 15, 1941.

Survivors include her children, Clarence (Kathy) Schneider of St. Charles, Mildred (Terry) Hinkle of Cape Girardeau, Helen (Steve) McMenamy of St. Peters, Mo.; six grandchildren, Mark Schneider, Bryon Schneider, Anna (Paul) Schaumburg, Bridget (David) Clover, Shannon (James) Pille, Kellie (Scott) Schmidt; eight great-grandchildren, Shawn, Teresa, Kimberly, Emily, Conner, Nicholas, Liam and McKenna; a great-great-grandchild, Zain; and a sister, Elma Beumer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; a brother, Albert; and a sister, Hulda.

Meta was a member of All Saints Parish, Ladies Sodality and Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Meta spent many hours with her friends at the quilting frame.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Baue Funeral Home, 620 Jefferson St., St. Charles.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at All Saints Catholic Church, 7 McMenamy Road, St. Peters. Interment will be in St. Charles Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to St. Vincent DePaul at All Saints Catholic Church or Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.
