PERRYVILLE -- Merida Frances Anderson, 80, of Perryville, died Tuesday, July 30, 1996, at Wentzville Park Care Center.
She was born June 22, 1916, in Claryville, daughter of Elmo Joseph and Sophie Esselman Elder. She and Charles H. Anderson were married July 6, 1934.
Anderson had been a machine operator at International Shoe Co. She was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Elizabeth LaRose of O'Fallon, Joyce Wibbenmeyer of Indianapolis, Ind.; a brother, Linus Elder of Red Bud, Ill.; two sisters, Gladys Romann of Perryville, Mary Grott of Sedalia; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 6:30-9:45 a.m. The wake will be at 7 p.m. Friday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent's Church. The Rev. Gerry Kelly will officiate, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
