MELVIN WILLS

LONGTOWN, Mo. -- Melvin Oscar Wills, 80, of Perryville, Mo., died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 16, 1920, in Longtown, son of Peter and Della Bingenheimer Wills. He and Hilda Weinrich were married Oct. 12, 1947.

Wills was a retired farmer. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown, where he was a past elder, Sunday School superintendent and a finance board member. He also was a member of the Lutheran Laymen's League and MFA.

Survivors include his wife and a sister, Leona Lintner of Perryville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 6:30 to noon Saturday at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown. The Rev. Paul Winningham will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
