Melvin W. "Bud" Law, 85, of Scott City died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 28, 1925, in Gideon, Mo., to Harvey and Alice Householder Law. He and Dorothy Jean Stinnett were married May 31, 1951, in Piggott, Ark.
Law had been a warehouseman at HAVCO Wood Products. He was a member of Kennett Masonic Lodge 68.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ken Law of St. Louis, Larry Law of Bloomington, Ill.; a brother, Lloyd Law of Jackson; a sister, Bertha May Jobe of Gideon; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. A Masonic service will be at 7.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lightner Cemetery in Scott City, with the Rev. Brian Law officiating.
