BERNIE -- Melvin "Joe" Medlin, 67, of Bernie, died Friday, Oct. 20, 1995, at his home.
He was born Feb. 29, 1928, at Malden, son of John D. and Ethel Montgomery Medlin.
He was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He lived in St. Louis for 43 years, moving there from Dexter. He had lived at Bernie for about a year.
He and Reva Beaird were married Oct. 29, 1944, at Malden.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, Almon Medlin of Parma; and two sisters, Opal Harper of Destrehanm, La., and Dorothy Davis of O'Fallon.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today in the Bernie Cemetery. Carnell Britton will officiate.
Watkins & Sons Funeral Service at Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
