Melvin Bailey

Melvin A.C. Bailey, 52, of Advance died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.

He was born May 7, 1953, in Senath, Mo., son of Melvin and Docia Wardlow Bailey. He and Pam West were married in 1974 in Doniphan.

Bailey was a retired electrician for Noranda Aluminum. He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Christopher and Joshua Bailey of Advance and James Bailey of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Ashley Bailey of Advance; his mother; two sisters, Wanda Bailey of Jackson and Linda Pruett of Alto Pass, Ill. and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, a brother and a sister.

Friends may call Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mike Eighmy officiating. Interment will be in Cude Cemetery in Senath, Mo.
