Melva M. Walters, 75, 2533 Albert Rasche, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born Aug. 2, 1917, in St. Louis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Becherer. She married Lt. Col. Dolf Wayne Walters Aug. 29, 1942, in Austin, Texas. He died Jan. 31, 1989...

Melva M. Walters, 75, 2533 Albert Rasche, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Aug. 2, 1917, in St. Louis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Becherer. She married Lt. Col. Dolf Wayne Walters Aug. 29, 1942, in Austin, Texas. He died Jan. 31, 1989.

Walters attended Washington University in St. Louis.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Sherrie Walters of Anchorage, Alaska; a granddaughter, and great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a son, sister and granddaughter.

Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va.

Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
