PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Melissa Renea Bonta, 40, passed away Monday, Jan. 31, 2017.
She was born Aug. 10, 1976, to the late Edward W. Bonta of East Prairie, Missouri, and Cheryl Buchheit, formerly of Chaffee, Missouri.
Melissa was a graduate of Puxico (Missouri) High School and was a resident of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
She is the mother of Kristen, Katie and Colten Johnson of Waco, Texas, and Roger Fulton Jr. of Franklin, Texas. She also is survived by a sister, Mary Simmons, and her mother, Cheryl Buchheit, both of Perryville.
She was preceded in death by her dad; three siblings, Sherry Cline of Sodus Point, New York, Michelle Bonta of Jackson and Edward Bonta Jr. of East Prairie; maternal grandparents, Phillip Buchheit, born in Old Appleton and later a resident of Chaffee, and Dorothy McCormick of Cape Girardeau; and paternal grandparents, Edward and Gladys Monroe Bonta of East Prairie.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, 416 N. Main St. in Perryville.
