SIKESTON, Mo. -- Melinda M. "Wink" Evans Bula, 54, of Sikeston died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Jan. 11, 1956 in Sikeston to the late James Clayton and Geraldine Marie Compas Evans Sr. She was married to James M. "Jim" Bula on Sept. 22, 2000, in Benton, Mo. He preceded her in death Feb. 13, 2001.
Melinda was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton and was employed as a clerk in the Scott County recorder's office in Benton. She also co-owned Heartland Farms until 2009.
She is survived by a daughter, Stacey Evans of Sikeston; three brothers, Roy and Alan Evans, both of Benton, Mo., and J.C. Evans of Sikeston; five nephews; and three nieces.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Michael Casteel of St. Denis Church officiating.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
