SIKESTON, Mo. -- Medford Livingston, 77, of Sikeston died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at his home.
He was born Oct. 20, 1924, in Holt, Fla., son of George Joseph and Mary Gordon Livingston. He and Doris I. Baker were married Jan. 17, 1952, in Charleston, S.C.
Livingston retired from Sikeston Power Plant after 27 years of service.
A 30-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served during World War II, the Korean War and the early Vietnam era, retiring as a gunners mate chief.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Laura Carter of Marlow, Okla., Melissa Livingston of Houston, Texas, Medina Wood of Conyers, Ga.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday.
Graveside service with full military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Tom Geers will officiate.
